PC/PMMA composite sheet is purchased for parts that must combine appearance with practical durability. A buyer may need a clear or decorated surface, resistance to routine handling, adequate impact behavior, and compatibility with printing, forming, coating, or in-mold decoration. Those requirements cannot be controlled by asking only for “PC/PMMA” and a price.

PC/PMMA can be supplied in two-layer or three-layer configurations. The two-layer product places PC and PMMA functions within one coextruded structure, while a three-layer PMMA/PC/PMMA design addresses a different surface and structural balance. Buyers should state which construction is being evaluated and which side will face the user, ink, adhesive, mold, or coating.
The quotation should identify the exact product code, layer arrangement, natural or colored appearance, surface condition, nominal thickness, tolerance, width, length or roll format, and any hard-coated option. Without these details, two offers may describe materially different products.

For housings and decorative parts, use the actual geometry, support points, edge design, and assembly method in impact trials. Provide the supplier with the planned ink, curing process, forming temperature, draw depth, tool geometry, adhesive, and cleaning chemistry. A flat coupon may print well but fail after forming because of ink elongation, stress whitening, registration shift, or surface damage.
Ask whether the supplier can provide surface-orientation guidance, representative trial sheets or rolls, processing recommendations, and support during pilot production. Record all process settings used for approved samples so that later lots are evaluated under comparable conditions.
Supplier approval should cover traceability, batch documentation, change notification, packaging, lead time, minimum order quantity, complaint response, and the path for technical escalation. Use samples from more than one production lot when the project risk justifies it.
A practical sequence is document review, incoming inspection, printing or coating trial, forming trial, lamination or molding, finished-part optical and mechanical testing, pilot order, and commercial approval. The objective is a repeatable specification—not simply an attractive prototype.
