Why Texture + PC for Thermoforming?
Most buyers default to smooth PC. But texture changes the game:
- Fingerprint & scratch masking — matte/sandblast sides hide wear on helmet visors and toy shells
- Lower gloss, better UX — instrument panels, premium packaging lids
- Printability — sandblast surface anchors UV ink / silkscreen better than polished PC
- Formability — PC softens ~180–220 °C, holds mold detail through vacuum / pressure forming
DAFU's Textured PC lets you mix surfaces: one side fine sand, the other matte or polished—or dual-texture, depending on whether you need a tactile exterior + printable interior.
Application 1 — Sports & Safety Helmets
Helmet shells and visor carriers live outdoors. They take UV, sweat, drops, and temperature swings.
Why DAFU textured PC fits:
- High impact resistance (reference PC grade: Charpy notched ~85 kJ/m² @23 °C)
- UV-stable options for outdoor ski / bike / motorcycle helmets
- Dimensional stability after thermoforming → shell doesn't warp when bonded to EPS liner
- Texture side as exterior = scratch-masking, matte look
Many helmet OEMs pair textured PC outer skin + EPS inner via twin-sheet or drape forming. DAFU widths up to 1400 mm cover most adult helmet blank sizes without splicing.

Application 2 — Toys & Children's Products
This is where compliance sells the material, not just性能.
If you're exporting toy packaging or rigid toy shells to the US, two checkpoints matter:
- CPC / ASTM F963-23 — for toy packagingplastic bags with opening > 356 mm (14″), average film thickness must be ≥ 0.038 mm (1.5 mil); thinner = must perforate ≥1% area + choking warning
- Material safety — DAFU PC films are REACH / ROHS / UL compliant; food-contact grades available (FDA-type clearance on comparable PC grades)
Where textured PC goes in toys:
- Rigid toy shells (building blocks, action-figure armor) — impact + printability
- Premium gift-box windows — matte PC replaces PVC (more heat-stable, no plasticizer migration)
- Reusable children's container lids — FDA-capable grades
If your toy packageuses a PC window bag, specify ≥0.04 mm to stay safely above ASTM F963-23's 0.038 mm line.
Application 3 — Premium Packaging Boxes & Display
PC beats PET here on heat resistance and drop impact, especially for:
- Electronics / cosmetics rigid box windows (matte PC = luxury haptics)
- Reusable gift tins / sliding-lid inserts
- Retail display trays that go through heat-shrink or hot-stamp post-processing
Thickness range 0.05–1.5 mm covers everything from ultra-thin window film to rigid insert blanks. Widths 915–1400 mm let you nest multiple cavities per roll and cut die-cost.
