Forklift displays face overhead glare, dusty gloves, repeated key presses and cleaning, so a glossy overlay can be hard to read and visibly worn.

A readable panel can fail after installation

Forklift operators look at status icons while moving between bright loading bays and darker aisles. A glossy overlay may reflect overhead lighting, while dust and glove marks reduce contrast. Repeated key presses can polish the touch zones, and cleaners may alter the surface or printed graphics. The useful specification is therefore based on what the operator must read and touch, not on a generic request for matte PC.

Separate the viewing surface from the print surface

Dafu lists Matte PC Films & Sheets and a related Printable Grade PC Film range. A common design direction is to place the selected texture toward the operator and print graphics on the protected reverse side, but surface orientation must be confirmed for the chosen grade. The matte face can be evaluated for glare control and wear masking, while the reverse face must support the selected ink, adhesive and any backlighting.

Texture can solve one problem and create another

A stronger texture may reduce mirror-like reflection, yet it can also soften small symbols or scatter light from a display window. Smooth clear windows, dead-front graphics and textured key zones may require different artwork or selective processing. Before cutting production tools, inspect the complete stack under the warehouse lighting spectrum and at the real viewing angles. Include polarized eyewear if operators use it.

Qualify the overlay as an assembled HMI

Print and cure the actual ink system, then die cut openings and emboss keys at production geometry. Bond the overlay to the intended spacer, adhesive and housing. Test display legibility, color shift, key actuation, dome alignment, edge lift and graphic wear with dusty gloves. Repeat cleaning with the approved chemical and method. Dafu's product-category information does not establish these assembly results, so the equipment maker must define acceptance criteria.

Describe the panel, not just the film

For a matte-PC review, send the overlay drawing, viewing windows, texture zones, current film, thickness target, print side, ink and curing system, adhesive, emboss depth, key-cycle requirement, cleaner list and lighting photographs. State whether the present rejection is glare, scratched graphics, polished key zones, edge lift or die-cut distortion. This lets Dafu narrow the film discussion around the actual forklift panel.
