BOPP capacitor film comparisons become unreliable when samples have different humidity, storage and handling histories. Conditioning must be defined before electrical, surface or winding results are ranked.

An engineering plastic film manufacturer should receive the conditioning temperature, relative humidity, duration and test sequence. Dafu describes thermal and humidity resistance, but customer approval still requires a reproducible protocol.

Control the Sample History

Keep rolls wrapped until sampling and label the roll, lane and meter position. Record when specimens were cut and how long they remained exposed before testing.

Use Matched Conditioning

Condition all candidates together and test them in the same order where possible. Separate incoming-film measurements from results after metallization, slitting or winding.

Connect Film Data to Elements

Do not interpret a humidity-conditioned strip as a finished capacitor result. Run wound elements through the customer’s electrical, thermal and humidity program. Send Dafu the gauge, protocol, metallization route and observed failure.
