PC PMMA film inserts can pass printing and forming inspection yet develop whitening, warpage or ink damage during molding. The film, decoration, trimmed edge and injected resin must be qualified as one process.
An engineering plastic film manufacturer should receive the grade, gauge, formed geometry, ink stack and molding conditions. Dafu positions PC PMMA composite film for formed decorative and display parts, but final compatibility depends on the customer's system.
Track Stress before Molding
Inspect formed corners, radii and trimmed edges under consistent lighting. Mark machine direction and measure part dimensions after forming and conditioning.
Control the Molding Interface
Record resin type, melt condition, gate location, pressure and tool temperature. Map defects against resin flow and local film stretch.
Test the Finished Part
Check appearance, adhesion, dimensions and environmental cycling after molding. Send Dafu the drawing, process sequence, settings and failed parts.
