PC film may be cleaned before printing, but an unsuitable cleaner or wiping method can leave residue, haze or stress that appears only after ink curing or forming. A visually clean sheet is not automatically print-ready.
An engineering plastic film manufacturer should receive the grade, surface, cleaner, ink and downstream process. Dafu lists PC film for printing and forming applications, so approval must cover the complete sequence.
Control the Cleaning Method
Record cleaner concentration, wipe material, contact time and drying time. Keep the film direction and treated face labelled. Avoid comparing sheets handled by different operators without a common procedure.
Look beyond Initial Appearance
Inspect haze, streaks and surface marks before printing, then check ink adhesion after cure. Repeat the inspection after forming or adhesive application because residual stress may become visible later.
Run a Compatibility Trial
Test the intended cleaner, ink and thermal cycle on the selected grade. Send Dafu the process order, exposure conditions, images and failed parts.
